I'm back... (but not better than ever)!
2009 has not been kind to me or my body... I got laid off, and of course the economy has gone to sh*t, and to top it off I strained my hamstring at the end of January. Then I dislocated my thumb, which indirectly lead to me tearing something in my lower back.
You really don't realize how much you use your lower back until you can't! You use it for everything... and I do mean EVERYTHING! I couldn't put on my socks or tie my shoes; I couldn't walk very easily or even look down at my feet without pain. Heck, I couldn't even sit or sleep without pain. Virtually any movement resulted in pain. It was pretty bad, and just when I thought I was getting better, I strained the other side of my lower back. Needless to say, I appreciate my lower back a lot more now and will be paying a lot more attention to it and taking better care of it.
Now that I have a lot more time, I hope to post more frequently...

It was Simran's wedding on Saturday, and it was a blast. Actually the whole weekend was great. Spent almost the whole weekend with the cousins. Starting with Thursday at Manny's, then Friday at Gagan's, Saturday at the wedding, and Sunday we had a BBQ at Manny's...

Deep Sea Fishing, Monterey
We went deep sea fishing for salmon on Saturday, June 10th. I had to get up at 3AM so we could check in by 5:15 in Monterey.
It was my 1st time fishing and I didn't think I'd catch anything, but I was the 1st person to reel one in. In fact only 3 people came home with fish out of 20. Martin had the biggest one at 30+ pounds, then mine, and then Junior.
Other people caught fish too, but they were either too small or the protected "silver" and had to be thrown back, and one got snatched by a sea lion.
The fishing guide dude did all the dirty work as far as cleaning it up and cutting it, which was good 'cause I wouldn't know what to do.
When we got to the dock (2:30pm), we put the fish on ice and had the BEST DAMN CLAM CHOWDER... It was the "icing on the cake".
At this point we were so tired and I slept most of the way home... And once I got home, I cleaned up and went to sleep (7pm)... I slept most of the night and finally got out of bed at 10am... I didn't know fishing could be so tiring. I think it was the lack of sleep as well as constantly fighting to keep your balance in the boat. And to have a better chance of catching anything we had to constantly work our fishing line.
It was a lot of fun... here are some pics!!

Fifth Annual Cousins Snowboard Trip
5th Annual (3rd for me) "Cousins" Snowboard Trip went down March 3-5, 2006. Martin and his cousins have been doing this for 5 years, and I joined them 3 years ago. It's always a blast, and of course we had a great time this time too! The ride into Reno on Friday night was pretty lengthy (snow & traffic), but it was well worth it. The next day, show conditions were perfect for boarding. We did a lot of things in a short amount of time, and I even won $100...

Btw, our next Snowboard Trip is this Sunday. It'll be a day-trip at SugarBowl. It's been dumping for the last 10 days, and Sunday is going to be the 1st sunny day. The conditions should be excellent... Fresh Powder, baby!
We'll leave Martin's house (Stockton) around 6AM, and we should be back at Martin's by 6PM. Let me know if you wanna go!!!

This & That
Martin and I went snowboarding on the 11th, and we had a KILLER day... I think it was one of the best snowboarding days for me, EVER! The snow was just about perfect; it wasn't too crowded; and I improved my technique by leaps and bounds. Martin did some sweet jumps, and we got some cool pictures, but I haven't had a chance to load the pics on here...
Actually, with Blogger.com, it's kind of tough to post pics, unless I do them straight from my phone; Or you have to host them somewhere else and provide a link on here. So, to make a long story short, I'm working on a new website that allows me to load pictures more easily. I hope to have that up in a week or two.
I'll be in Tahoe/Reno for the weekend and I hope the weather is good for boarding on Saturday!!!

Snowboarding
We went snowboarding on Sunday, but we ran into all kinds of traffic going there and coming back. We forgot that it was a holiday weekend, and there were so many people on the road.
We had planned on going to Alpine Meadows, but they got sold out by the time we got there, so we ended up going to Diamond Peak. The boarding was great, there was lots of snow, and the view were spectacular. Good first trip of the season... aside from the traffic. Next trip in a coulple of weeks.

New Rims & Tires (updated)
Got new rims and tires today... and they look bad ass, but they freakin' rub in the back... Might have go with smaller tires.........DAMN!
UPDATE: Down-sized the tires from 235/45 to 215/45, and no rub... still looks good.
